I will perfect the language of your book to make it sell

I will perfect the language of your book to make it sell

About:

American, Southern Illinois University graduate wanting to give back to the indy writer's community.

Editing over 100 short fiction projects, 2 novels, and writing a 300-page novel of my own has taught me a lesson about writing. There are certain key mistakes even experienced writers make that disengage their readers, causing them to close their book, put it back on the shelf, and let it collect dust for years.

  1. False beginnings
  2. Too many narrators
  3. Too many words
  4. Weak characters
  5. Weak verbs
  6. Cringe-worthy dialogue tags
  7. Jokes that aren't funny

And much much more!

I want to help indy authors make their stories jump out of the page. I want readers to
see rolling hills blowing like waves in large grassy fields; hear swords clash in epic battle scenes; smell an afternoon of flowers in the park, where two strangers first make eye-contact; feel the breath of a murderer on the back of their necks; and taste the stale bread that a young orphan has to steal from a bakery dumpster in order to eat.

I'm keeping my prices low as I try to gather reviews on this site, so now is your chance for a very reasonable high-quality edit.

Make your book the next NY Times Bestseller, and sign up for my service!

Reviews

rayme1981:Davis, is the MAN! He's such a down-to-earth, amiable guy and very detail oriented, which I love. He caught so many things that I missed after closely editing it myself, took out unnecessary words and reworded some sentences to make me sound better. He also added ideas of his own here and there that weren't in the scenes prior. A godlike editor!

dadadavis2:rayme1981 is a very educated and imaginative writer. He was very receptive to constructive criticism (which is what an editor is for), and I think his book will turn out all the better for it. Great guy as a first customer!
