Are the characters acting in character?
Is the plot plausible, and does it make sense?
Are there any timing issues (ie one character in two different places)?
Does your worldbuilding make sense, and does it hold up throughout?
Is the novel/novella interesting? Will a reader keep turning pages to find out what happens next?
Does the novel/novella end in a satisfying manner?
Are there any gaps in logic or plot?
If there's a romance, does it make sense and is it plausible?
Are the characters all different? Do they speak with different narrative voices?
How's the point of view? Does it work for this particular story?
If there are sex scenes, are they choreographed well or are they awkward?
Same for fight scenes.
Is there anything confusing?
Is the writing at a professional level? Does the writing flow well?
